I had that happen to my child once. Only it was a mistake when the teacher took the lunch count and my child's lunch was paid for and didn't get a lunch. Get off of parent's backs. How ignorant is that; School personnel are always preaching about proper nutrition, and then turn around and pull something like that. People do take responsibility for their kids. Give the child a lunch and call the parent and bill them for $1.40. Wait until their child actually cannot find a library book from the school. When that happened to my child, instead of a notice, I got billed $10.00 later. More communication is needed between home and school. Stop the blame games.
