James M. Henry

Henry

James M. Henry, 82, a 49-year resident of Harrisville, died at 9 p.m. Monday at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh after an illness.

Born in Kittanning, Aug. 15, 1926, he was a son of James Campbell Henry and Margaret McCullough Henry.

He retired from Henry's Market, Harrisville, where was owner/operator from 1959 to 2008.

Mr. Henry was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City, where he was an elder and a former deacon. He was a member of Grove City F&AM Lodge 603, the New Castle Consistory and a 50-year member of American Legion Post 852 of Harrisville.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a graduate of Worthington West Franklin High School and The Butler Business College.

He enjoyed golf, spending time with his family and his work.

Survivors include his wife, N. Lenore Benton Henry, who he married April 8, 1947; four children, Susan Stocker, Mount Lebanon, Beth Henry-Dugan and her husband, Michael, Avon, Conn., William R. "Bill" Henry, Summit, N.J., and David Henry and his wife, Doris, Harrisville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

<B>HENRY</B> — Visitation for James M. Henry, who died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, Grove City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Culp, pastor of Tower Presbyterian Church, presiding. Burial will be at Worthington Lutheran Cemetery.Memorial tributes may be made to Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., Grove City, PA 16127.
