Larry and Linda Weiland

Larry and Linda Weiland of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage by renewing their vows Oct. 12 at the Golden Wedding Celebration and Mass at the St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh. Bishop David Zubik served as celebrant. They also celebrated with a dinner for family and friends Oct. 18 at the Hiland Club House.

Weiland married the former Linda Shaffer on Oct. 18, 1958, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center.

They have two children, Douglas Weiland and Marcia Koerner, both of Butler.They also have three grandchildren.Weiland is retired from Armco Steel. He works part time at the Hiland Golf Course.Mrs. Weiland is retired from the sales department at Magnetics.The Weilands belong to St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.
