HARRISBURG — A jury trial for 12 defendants accused of misusing public money for Pennsylvania legislative campaigns is set to begin Jan. 12.

Dauphin County Judge Richard Lewis announced the defendants will be arraigned in three weeks and pretrial motions are due a month later.

It's unclear how many defendants will be left by the time of trial, as some are cooperating with investigators and it's unknown how many have agreed to plea bargains. All 12 are connected to the House Democratic caucus, but Attorney General Tom Corbett said he's investigating both parties in the state House and Senate and more arrests are expected.

PORT VUE — Police are investigating vandalism reported at a McCain-Palin campaign office near Pittsburgh.Campaign workers told police someone threw a brick and a tire through the front plate-glass window of the storefront office in a small shopping center in Port View sometime Wednesday night.Port Vue police said they don't know who smashed the window or what might have motivated them.Republican presidential candidate Sen.
