Mildred I. Weisenstein
Mildred I. Weisenstein, 90, a resident at Meadow Lake Manor of Sugar Creek, formerly of Whitestown Road, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Sunday at Meadow Lake Manor.
Born in Dayton, Pa., July 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Simon H. Rumbaugh and Minnie Sipe Rumbaugh.
Mrs. Weisenstein was employed in the inspection department at Castle Rubber, East Butler.
She was a longtime active member of St. John's Reformed Church, a life member of the Tanglewood Senior Center and a member of the Meridian Women's Club. She was a former member of the Maqueda Chapter 421 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was an alumni of Freeport High School.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Redick of Freeport, and her second husband, G. Roland Weisenstein, who passed away Nov. 1, 1991.
She is survived by two sons, H. Richard Redick and his wife, Lynn, of Worthington and Dennis B. Redick and his wife, Bonnie, of Towanda, Ill.; two stepsons, Gerald Weisenstein and his wife, Judy, of Littleton, Colo., and Daryl Weisenstein and his wife, Terry, of Golden, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. One sister, Mrs. Mary Hauck of Worthington, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husbands, she also was preceded in death by three brothers.

Weisenstein, who died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John's Reformed Church, 493 Evans City Road, with the Rev. Robert Peterson of St. John's Reformed Church officiating.
