HARMAR TOWNSHIP — The Seneca Valley varsity hockey team won the 16th annual St. Margaret's Fall Faceoff Tournament recently at Harmarville Blade Runners.

The Raiders defeated Mount Lebanon, Hampton, Fox Chapel, Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park to win the 16-team tournament.

Team members include Ryan Schutte, Brandon Platt, Sean Sokolowski, Dom Sarachine, Bronson Dodds, Kaleb Schwab, Tayler Wagner, Jordan Smith, Tyler Mesisca, Tyler Rose, Noah Wallace, Michael Singel, Michael Pietrandea, Derek Hathazy, Erik Larson, Ryan Hestin, Logan Pfeffer, Joey Natoli, Michael Rohm, Kevin Rohm and Sam Jarrett.

Denis Kirstein is the team's head coach. John Dingle is his assistant.

INDIANA, Pa. — Alex Ferree of Saxonburg won the UFo Late Model points championship at Challenger Raceway.Ferree tallied 877.5 points to finish 24 in front of Jared Miley of South Park. There were 213 drivers who raced on the UFo Tour this year.

CLARION — Union running back Colby Davis was named the Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program KSACFootball Player of the Week.Davis ran 17 times for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the Golden Knights' 40-0 victory over A-CValley.

BUTLER TWP — Butler offensive lineman Ricky Gladd was named the Golden Tornado Player of the Week by the Butler Quarterback Club.Butler dropped a 21-3 decision at North Hills Friday night.
