Derek Hillegas fired a 39 on a dreary Wednesday afternoon at Rittswood Golf Course to help the Mars boys golf team to a 203-216 win over Knoch and a spot in the WPIAL playoffs.

The Planets (10-5 overall, 9-3 in the section) needed a win to secure the final berth in the section. Had Knoch won, it would have made the playoffs.

R.J. Sepich and Joe Boros each shot a 42 for Knoch.
