Mathenia Alice Strobel
Mathenia Alice Strobel, 93, of Butler, formerly a resident of Great Belt Road and the Commons of Saxonburg, died Sunday at Sunnyview Home.
Born Aug. 8, 1915, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Walter and Mabel (King) Guy.
She worked as a housekeeper. She was a charter member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Freeport Road, Butler.
Surviving are two sons, Harold (Faith) Strobel and Donald (Betty) Strobel, both of Cabot; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Donna) Schaffner and Mrs. Dean (Alice) Salisbury, both of Butler; a brother, Harold Guy of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Tony (Mathelia) Santora of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Ida Eisenbarth of Morgantown, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ralph J. Strobel in 1953; and a sister, Mildred King.
