The Kirks in 1958

James and Rita Kirk of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a Mass at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, followed by a reception for family and friends at the Atrium in Prospect.

Kirk married the former Rita Smith on Oct. 11, 1958, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

They have four sons, Jeffrey Kirk of Butler; Joseph Kirk of Elyria, Ohio; Steven Kirk of Butler; and David Kirk of Pittsburgh.

They also have six grandchildren.

Kirk is retired from working for Craftsmen-Ziegler in Butler.

Mrs. Kirk is retired from the magnetics division of Spang and Company.

The Kirks are members of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
