Bertram A. Mueller, former school official
Bertram A. Mueller, 93, of Garden Avenue, Grove City, formerly of Bruin, died at noon Thursday at the Family Hospice Manor in Pittsburgh following an extended illness.
Born July 5, 1915, in Altoona, he was the son of Frederick Max Mueller and Anna B. Weiss Mueller.
Mr. Mueller grew up at the Children's Home in Zelienople after loosing his parents at the age of 4. He was a graduate of Grove City College and served as platoon sergeant in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II.
He served on three school boards at the same time of the Seneca Valley Jointure, as president of both the Evans City and Jackson Township school boards and vice president of the Zelienople Jointure. He belonged to the Penn Ohio Singers' Barbershop Chorus, Shenango Valley Chapter. He also was a member of the East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City, where he was in the choir and served as treasurer of the Tri-Fidelis Sunday school class.
He retired from Penreco in Karns City, where he was a cost accountant and payroll administrator.
He is survived by his wife, Ada Rose Peden, who he married Aug. 29, 1947; nine children, Janet Corbett and her husband, James, of Grove City, Frederick Mueller and his wife, Kathy, missionaries in Russia; Margaret Juliano and her husband, Paul, of Cranberry Township, Carl Mueller and his wife, Laurie, of Bruin, Mary Ridley and her husband, Paul, of Bradford, Dr. James Mueller and his wife, Rene, of Isle of Palm, S.C., Richard Mueller and his wife, Lisa, of Erie, Dr. Robert Mueller and his wife Dr. Katherine Mueller, of Grove City, and John Mueller and his wife, Nancy, of East Butler. He also is survived by 42 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rose A. Mueller; and a brother, Robert E. Mueller.

Mueller, who died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the <B>CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME</B>, Grove City. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. Main St., Grove City, with the Rev. Bill Hoffman presiding. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.The family suggests memorial tributes to the East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City.
