Air Force Reserve Lt. Col.

Bryan Branby has deployed to southwest Asia in the Persian Gulf region to support the missions of operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and joint task force Horn of Africa as a member of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing.The service member, normally assigned to the 758th Airlift Squadron, Coraopolis, is a chief navigator with 26 years of military service.He is the son of Harlan and Loree Branby of Lodi, Calif.His wife, Laura, is the daughter of Stewart and Pat Griest of Zelienople.The colonel received a bachelor's degree in 1982 from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., and earned a master's degree in 1990 from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y.———Air Force Senior Master Sgt.

Curtis Kinnick is deployed to Afghanistan.The airman serves with the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing at Bagram Air Field, to help ensure terrorist insurgents do not regain a foothold in the region. The air field is the largest military installation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.Kinnick is an air expeditionary group medical liaison responsible for ensuring the Air Force medical personnel have the equipment needed to do their job at all assigned medical facilities in Afghanistan. The senior master sergeant has served in the military for 21 years.He is the son of Fred L. and Ruthann Kinnick of Butler.In 1984, Kinnick graduated from Butler High School, and received an associate degree from Butler County Community College in 1986. He earned a bachelor's degree in 2007 from Wayland Baptist University, San Antonio, Texas.
