John Makay, professor emeritus of communication studies at Bowling Green State University, will speak when SRU offers its fifth annual Ted Walwik Freedom of Speech Lecture at 8 p.m. Oct. 2. The free lecture will be in the Advanced Technology and Science Hall.Makay, who earned his doctorate in rhetorical studies at Purdue University, has taught courses in "Political Communication," "Ethics of Communication," "Rhetoric of American Issues" and "Perspectives on Freedom of Expression."
