Auction of artist's work will help battle cancer
In recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Butler artist Rebecca Rose will donate half the proceeds from two paintings to benefit cancer organizations.
Half the proceeds from "The Power of Women" and "Ladies" will be donated to a cancer organization of the buyer's choice.
"The Power of Women" is a four panel acrylic painting and represents the strength and courage of women. "Ladies" is a three panel piece, or a "triptych" painting, and displays women from the art nouveau era. Both paintings are ready for immediate display.
The artist will accept bids for the paintings through Oct. 25. Paintings will be sold to the highest bidder, who will be notified after Oct. 25.
