Four Seneca Valley golfers, Mike McNulty, Matt Vogt, Blake Henderson and Sean Dailey, advanced to next Wednesday's semifinals after play at Tuesday's WPIALDivision I Section 3 qualifier at Highland Country Club.

McNulty's 71 was one shot off co-winners Jim Davis of North Allegheny and Ryan Fichter, who both shot 70.

Vogt (73), Henderson (78) and Dailey (80) will be joined by Butler's Antonio Baroffio (79) and Christian Mato (80). A round of 80 proved to be the target score.

Next Wednesday's semifinal will be held at Seven Oaks Country Club in Beaver.

Girls WPIAL Section 3 — Butler's Marissa DeCola (74) Arianna Rock (86) and Mara Shingleton (87) placed second, fifth and sixth, respectively, at this sectional held at Hiland Golf Course Tuesday.In all, the top eight girls from this sectional who reached the target score of 90 advanced to the upcoming WPIALChampionships, which will be held at Valley Brook Country Club Oct. 6.Tess Wolfe of Blackhawk edged DeCola, a freshman, by one stroke.

Cam Stauffer was the top overall boys winner in leading Seneca Valley to a 23-32 victory over Knoch and a 21-35 win over Pine-Richland.
