Margaretta "Peggy" Cruikshank, 91, died June 25 in Tampa, Fla.

Born Sept. 11, 1916, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late James J. Russell and the late Olive Wyant.

She moved from Butler to Inverness, Fla., in 1988 and then moved to John Knox Village, Tampa, in 1998.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness. She was a former member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Butler. After she married Dwight Cruikshank, they belonged to the Middlesex Presbyterian Church. He died in 1972.

She was a charter member of the Woman's Club of Southern Butler County.

A graduate of Butler High School, she had worked at Offutt's and Troutman's department stores in Butler.

Surviving are a niece, Margery Bish; two nephews, H. Paul and William P. Starr; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and three cousins.

<B>CRUIKSHANK</B> — A graveside service for Margaretta "Peggy" Cruikshank, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 26 at the Middlesex Presbyterian Church.
