George E. Burr
George E. Burr, 52, of Pleasantville, Venango County, died Tuesday at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
Born Nov. 12, 1955, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Edward L. and Blanche Eichenauer Burr.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department and the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department, then he became a fire police officer with Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jay Fink Burr, who he married Sept. 27, 1975. Also surviving are a son, George E. Burr Jr., and his wife, Melissa, of Butler; a daughter, Jessie-Lynn Marie Burr of Hydetown, Pa.; a brother, Douglas Burr, and his wife, Fran, of Ellwood City; two sisters, Relda Kroner of Zelienople, and Barbara Short of Cranberry Township.; and five grandchildren, Jonathen Richard Burr, Marie Burr, Elissa Anne Burr, Dallyse Khristian Burr and Trynity Noelle Burr.
