Diane M. Dent, 86, of Butler passed away Saturday at her home.

Born in Butler, Jan. 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Rade and Mildred Kosovac Milich.

She was a homemaker, and along with her husband, she managed the West Kittanning Lumber Co. here in Butler.

She enjoyed gardening, watching her favorite cooking shows and visiting with her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Richard C. Dent and his wife, Rene, of Butler; a daughter, Sandra L. Dente of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, Rick Dent, Kristen Dent, Suzanne Maggio, Eric Dente and Matthew Dente; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Maggio and Soames Dente; three brothers, Robert Milich, of Poway, Calif., Walter Milich of Renfrew and George Milich of Butler; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Dano of Butler, Mrs. Stella DeLess of Butler, Mrs. Clement (Lillian) Reott of Herman and Mrs. John (Dorothy) Hays of Butler; a number of nieces and nephews; and two cousins who were raised by her parents, Eve Wagner of Butler and Kay Lorino of New York City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Dent, who passed away June 22, 1998; two brothers, Michael Milich and Peter Milich; two sisters, Katherine Wallace and Mary Milich; and a cousin, George Jankovich.

<B>DENT</B> — Friends of Diane M. Dent, who died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to conduct a scriptural wake service.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
