Herb's argument is preposterous. Nobody ever said that Sarah Palin is or was a member of the AIP. Her husband is a former member and Palin herself recently addressed the AIP, complimenting the organization, which hates America and seeks independence from America. Although she is not a member, she appears to be a soulmate. Alaska receives the greatest federal aid per-capita of any other state. This illustrates the hypocrisy of Palin and many of her fellow Alaskans - hatred of the federal government and a desire to be independent while grabbing as many of our tax dollars as possible. The main issue regarding Palin is that she isn't even slightly qualified to be president of the United States of America, which is what the vice-president is always just a heartbeat away from. She is clueless about federal politics and foreign policy. Her experience as a small town Alaska mayor may have groomed her to be governer of that frontier state but it gives her no credibility in national politics. Maybe she's good for Alaska. They can keep her!
