PITTSBURGH — A commemorative 20th anniversary reception to celebrate the contributions of Dominion VITA (Volunteer in the Arts) Award winners over the last 20 years will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh's Strip District.

Six Butler County organizations have received grants during VITA's first 20 years.

The Dominion VITA Award, coordinated by WQED Pittsburgh, has honored individuals who have given their time and talents to ensure that the arts thrive. Since its inception in 1988, Dominion has honored more than 200 volunteers from 155 arts organizations throughout Western Pennsylvania.

The six Butler County organizations that have received grants through VITA include:

• Associated Artists of Butler County

• Blazing Star Choral Society

• Butler Arts Council

• Butler County Symphony Orchestra

• Butler County Symphony Association

• Cranberry Area Council for the Arts.
