Butler sweeps Oakland Catholic
Abbie Druschel had nine blocks and Becky Smith added 11 kills and four blocks as the Butler volleyball team swept Oakland Catholic 25-17, 25-14, 25-13 Thursday.
Amanda Huey added five kills for the Tornado (2-0), who play at the Shaler Tournament Saturday.
Knoch 3, Hampton 0 — Jamie Antoszyk had eight kills and 18 service points, and Tori Lark added three kills and 17 points to lead the Knights to a 25-10, 25-16, 25-15 triumph.Knoch (1-1, 1-0) also received 16 points and 16 assists from Jessica Gross and 11 points and three kills from Paige Macadaeg.
A-C Valley 3, Cranberry 1 — Kelly Davis, Erika Rothen, Erin Larimore and Samantha Kerlin each recorded more than 15 service points as the Falcons soared to a 25-22, 19-25, 25-18, 25-21 win.Kerlin added eight kills and Roehen seven kills for A-C Valley (1-0).
