Eugene F. "Gene" Sheppeck, 49, of Rittswood Drive died unexpectedly Friday at his home.

Born Jan. 23, 1959, in Butler, he was the son of Katherine "Kay" Sawron Sheppeck and the late Eugene C. Sheppeck.

Gene was the retired owner and operator of Bonne Maid Cleaning in Butler. He operated his business for 10 years and retired in 2004.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Gene greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, sailing, hunting, the ocean and the beach. He also enjoyed the arts, music and sports.

His wife, Lucinda C. "Cindy" Wamboldt Sheppeck, who he married March 24, 1993, survives.

Also surviving are his stepson David B. Reimers and his wife, Angela Lynn Reimers, of Prospect; his mother, Mrs. Katherine "Kay" Sheppeck of Butler; one sister, Cynthia K. Kelly of Boulder, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Paige, Everett, Erin and Maggie Reimers of Prospect.

Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

<B>SHEPPECK</B> — Friends of Eugene F. "Gene"Sheppeck, who died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Monday at the church to recite the Rosary.
