Huey, Paxton
Ashleigh Huey of Butler and 1st Lt. W. Thayer Paxton of Meridian, Miss., were united in marriage May 24 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Butler. The Rev. Michael Harvey officiated. A reception followed at the Butler Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Leslie Huey of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Jim and Lissa Paxton of Meyersdale.
The honor attendant was Emily Huey of Butler. Bridesmaids included Chloe Huey of Butler, Makenzie Huey of Butler, Alissa Brochetti of Kittanning, Zabrina Fisher of San Diego and Emily Brown of Altoona. Jenna Whitmer of Slippery Rock served as flower girl.
Performing the duties of best man were Jim Paxton of Quantico, Va., and John Paxton of Enterprise, Ala. Ushers included John Fisher of San Diego, Brett Abbamonte of Kingsville, Texas; Graig Candeto of Oceana, Va., Keven Hillegas of Meyersdale, Adam Brochetti of Surf City, N.C., and Andrew Maudsley of Athens, Ga. Ring bearer was Joshua Bartoe of Medina, Ohio.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Butler High School. She attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
The bridegroom graduated from Berlin Brothers Valley High School in 2001 and from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2005. He is a jet pilot for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Following a honeymoon trip to Destin Beach, Fla., the couple is making their home in Virginia Beach, Va.
