James A. McCandless
James Andrew "Jamie" McCandless, 24, of Renfrew died Wednesday afternoon from injuries he received in an automobile accident.
Born Sept. 2, 1983, in Butler, he was a son of Charles A. "Chick" Sr. and Mary Lou (Stehle) McCandless.
He had attended Knoch High School and graduated from Kiski Prep School. He then attended Bowling Green University and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh on May 27, 2008, with a bachelor's degree in nonprofit health care.
Jamie had loved to golf and was a member of Butler Country Club. He was a hockey player, both recreational and playing for Knoch High School, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguin and Steeler fan.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Charles A. "Cam" McCandless Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Graham, N.C.; his grandmother, Mary Stehle of Butler; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
