Joseph and Mary Ann Ungor

Joseph and Mary Ann Ungor of Valencia celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Ungor married the former Mary Ann Nixon on Aug. 18, 1958, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Springdale.

They have three children, Donna Sybert of Valencia, Joseph Ungor of Monroe, N.C., and James Ungor of Gibsonia.

They also have five grandchildren.Ungor is a retired glass worker. He is a member of the Mars Gun Club, Springdale Gun Club and the Independent Mountain Man Club. He and his wife enjoy participating in rendezvous from 1740 to 1840 where they compete in hawk and knife throwing and black powder gun shoots.Mrs. Ungor is a retired Ames worker. She makes Indian beaded belts, leg ties, bags and knives.
