LEECHBURG — The second and final show in the Freeport Theatre Festival's summer season, "Arms and the Man," a romantic comedy by George Bernard Shaw, will open Friday.

The scenario is this: Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young girl named Raina is reading a romantic novel. Suddenly, gunshots ring out, and as if from the pages of the book, a desperate soldier bursts into her room. He lights a match and Shaw's delightful romantic comedy about fanciful notions of love and valor begins.

Show dates are Aug. 15 to 17, 22 to 24, and 29 to 31. Curtain is at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and students.
