Sater 50th anniversary
Richard "Dick" and Dolores Sater of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage Aug. 9 with a gathering at their home for family and friends followed by a Mass at Holy Sepulcher Church.
Sater married the former Dolores Kline on Aug. 9, 1958, in Minersville.
They have three children, Janet Sater of Arlington, Va.; Richard Sater of Seattle and Doris Olean of Cabot.
They also have six grandchildren.
Sater held several positions at ALCOA, including manager of electrical engineering and maintenance at ALCOA's Tennessee Operations, corporate assistant chief electrical engineer and professional development manager for the Engineering Division in Pittsburgh. He is a member of Butler Musical Theater Guild and is active in golfing, skiing and other sports.
Mrs. Sater is a homemaker and community volunteer. She volunteers for her church, Butler Library and Butler Memorial Hospital.
The Saters are members of Holy Sepulcher Church, where he is a former cantor. Both were choir members.
