Alverda Guenther

Alverda Guenther of Slippery Rock celebrated her 90th birthday yesterday with her family.

The former Alverda Hall was born Aug. 11, 1918 in Conemaugh, Cambria County. She married Gustave Guenther on July 3, 1938. He is deceased.

She has two children, Gustave Guenther of Prospect and Robert Guenther of Franklin. She also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Guenther has been a member of Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock for 58 years. She enjoys the Slippery Rock Senior Center, SilverSneakers and bingo.
