Clair and Dorothy Gardner

Clair and Dorothy Gardner of Slippery Rock and Ft. Pierce, Fla., will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Aug. 16 at Brimo Barones in Franklin.

Gardner married the former Dorothy Anderson on Aug. 13, 1948, at Church of the Nazarene in Butler.

They have four children, Dennis Gardner of Lima, Ohio; Deborah Garrison of Hudson, Ohio; Donald Gardner of Rock Hill, N.C.; and Kevin Gardner of Fayetteville.

They also have seven grandchildren.

Gardner is retired from AKSteel. He enjoys traveling, gardening and visiting his grandchildren.

Mrs. Gardner, a housewife, enjoys reading, traveling, going out to dinner with the girls and walking.

The Gardners are members of Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.
