Stark 60th anniversary
Robert and Margaret Stark of Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven III in Cabot celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family vacation in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Stark married the former Margaret Wright on June 25, 1948, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Swissvale.
They have six children, Richard Stark of Shaler, Robert Stark of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Keith Stark of West Caldwell, N.J.; Paul Stark of Orlando, Fla.; Phillip Stark of Orlando, Fla.; and Lynn Blase of Colorado Springs, Colo.
They also have 15 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Stark is retired from what is now Wachovia. He and his wife ran an employment agency before full retirement. He also served in the armed forces in Japan and Korea during the Korean War. He also served as president of the Shaler Township School Board.
Mrs. Stark is retired from the Mars School District, where she worked as a teacher's aide.
The Starks attend Faith Lutheran Church in Butler and serve on the resident advisory committee at Concordia. They also enjoy singing in choruses and groups.
