Janet J. Coltz, 69, of Boyers, formerly of McKees Rocks, died Monday morning at her home after an extended illness.

Born in McKees Rocks, Oct. 31, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Loretta Ickes Rogers.

She was employed for years as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

Janet was affiliated with the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church in Oakland Township.

Surviving are her husband, James J. Coltz, whom she married May 13, 1955; three sons, James (Gwen), Jay and Jerry Coltz; a daughter-in-law, Carol Coltz; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Soffa; and a brother, James Rogers.

In addition to her parents, a son, Jeffrey Coltz, preceded her in death.
