Sandra E. Hicks, 58, of Butler, formerly of Perry Township, Armstrong County, died Friday at UPMC Montfiore in Pittsburgh, surrounded by her family.

Born July 18, 1949, in Wildwood, Pa., she was the daughter of James L. and Phyllis J. Lucas Snow.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping. She was a graduate of Karns City High School and worked as an acid plant operator for Witco Chemical in Karns City.

She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly S. Stewart and her husband, Steve, of Beaver Falls; one granddaughter, Nicole K. McLean Heitger and her husband, Orrin, of New Brighton; one great-granddaughter, Makayla E. Heitger of New Brighton; one sister, Barbara J. Coddington and her husband, Donald, of Gettysburg; one brother, Timothy F. Hile and his wife, Belinda, of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County; one stepsister, Elizabeth Heginbotham and her husband, Donald, of Kittanning Hollow; one stepbrother, Thomas Hile of East Brady; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Hicks, whom she married Dec. 31, 1966, and who died Jan. 22, 2005.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Francis A. "Hank" Hile; her son-in-law, James McLean; her sister-in-law, Sherri Hile; and her stepbrother, Christopher Hile.

<B>HICKS</B> — Friends of Sandra E. Hicks, who died Friday, June 20, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Charles Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Her brother-in-law, Donald Coddington, will officiate.Burial will be in Bradys Bend Cemetery, Bradys Bend, Pa.
