DeRita

Lorraine R. DeRita, 81, of Butler died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Holyoke, Mass., on May 31, 1927, she was the daughter of Armand and Yvonne Moras Houle.

A homemaker, she was formerly employed at Hutchinson's Cleaners. She retired from Hutchinson's in 1987 after 18 years.

She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Cecilia Hopf and her husband, Donald, of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Mulcahy of Chesterfield, Mass., and Connie Cobb and her husband, Ronald, of Holyoke, Mass.; and one granddaughter, Cindy Colonna of Evans City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August M. DeRita, who died Nov. 21, 1980; two daughters; one brother; and one sister.

DeRita, who died Friday, June 20, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Avenue.The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Sunday to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev.
