The Sporrers in 1958

John and Joan Sporrer of Evans City celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner May 31 in Cranberry Township.

Sporrer married the former Joan Dictels on May 31, 1958, at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church in Pittsburgh.

They have three daughters, Jean Bartek of North Hills, Tami Watson of Evans City and Heidi Hodder of Ellwood City.

They also have six grandchildren.Sporrer is a retired mechanic. He worked for Falconi in Moon Township. He enjoys fishing and spending time in Outer Banks, N.C.Mrs. Sporrer is a retired secretary and enjoys shopping, gardening and playing slots.The couple are members of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
