Shirley A. "Mouse"Gould Smith, 66, of Palmdale, Calif., died May 23, 2008, at AV Hospital in Palmdale.

Born Sept. 26, 1941, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Alma Gould.

She retired in 1997 from Healthnet of California after 30 years.

Mrs. Smith enjoyed bingo and traveling back to Butler to be with her family.

She is survived by her husband, David Smith of California, who she married June 7, 1970; a son, Robert Smith and his wife, Karen Smith, of California; a daughter, KellyKeene and her husband, Mark Keene, of Butler; a stepson, Richard Smith of California; two sisters, Carol Selfridge and her husband, Carl Selfridge, of Prospect and Barbara Krukow of Butler; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
