Cygan, Gornick
Jayme Cygan and Matthew Gornick, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage May 31 at the Duquesne University Chapel. The Rev. Ray French officiated. A reception followed at the Duquesne University Power Ballroom.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Debby Cygan of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Arthur and Catherine Gornick of Pittsburgh.
The honor attendant was Cara Gallagher of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included Lindsay Stewart of Butler, Lauren Craig of Pittsburgh, Barbara Corace of Pittsburgh, Deirdre Tomasello of Buffalo, N.Y.; Brianne Perry of Greenville, N.C.; and Lindsay Cygan of Knoxville, Tenn. Flower girl was Samantha Feth of Pittsburgh.
Performing the duties of best man was Robert Wilson of Pittsburgh. Ushers included Scott Cygan of Glendale, Ariz.; A.J. Turkovich of Pittsburgh; Jeremy Ogden of Cleveland, Michael Sundo of Pittsburgh, Rick Gazica of Philadelphia and Connor Cygan of Knoxville, Tenn.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy. She works for CVSCaremark in Fox Chapel.
The bridegroom graduated from Shaler High School in 2000, Duquesne University in 2004 and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2008. He is in his orthodontics residency at the University of Pittsburgh.
Following a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple is making their home in Pittsburgh.
