Hankey 50th anniversary
The Rev. Ron and Nancy Hankey of Grove City celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner June 14 at the Wolf Creek Schoolhouse and a surprise gala hosted by their family June 22 at the Grove City Country Club. They will also take a trip to the United Kingdom.
Hankey married the former Nancy Buzard on June 14, 1958, at the Rimersburg United Methodist Church. The Rev. Samuel Allaman and the Rev. Bruce Hankey officiated.
They have two children, Ronald Hankey of Falls Church, Va.; and Polly Hankey of McDonald, Ohio.
They also have two grandchildren.
Hankey served the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church for 48 years and currently pastors the Pleasantview United Methodist Church near Barkeyville.
Mrs. Hankey taught elementary and high school for more than 30 years and supervised student teachers for Allegheny College.
The Hankeys enjoy traveling with their family, reading, collecting books, gardening, working with the Boy Scouts and hosting family activities.
