Watermelon Wednesdays are scheduled for July in Slippery Rock Park. Evenings begin at 6:30 p.m. with free watermelon and musical entertainment. Performing this coming Wednesday will be the band Sixteen Eyes. Call 724-794-8180.

The Family Concert Series, hosted by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, will feature the country Gospel band In Transition at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Carousel Shelter at Alameda Park, off New Castle Road. Admission is free. Call 724-284-5383.

The Summer Concert Series

2008 at Butler County Community College features a performance by the symphonic band Pittsburgh Philharmonic at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Succop Theater on campus. Playing Sunday will be the symphonic band Pittsburgh Philharmonic. Admission is free. Call 724-284-8505.

Concerts to Munch By, hosted by the Butler County Symphony Association, will offer a performance Brian Schaffner, guitar and vocals, from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday. The free concerts are held every Wednesday at the symphony office building, 259 S. Main St. Concerts will be broadcast into Diamond Park. <B>Hartwood Amphitheater</B> will be the site of a performance of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Call 412-767-9200.<B>JazzLive</B> takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Agnes R. Katz Plaza, 621 Penn Ave. The music then continues from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Backstage Bar in Theater Square, 655 Penn Ave. Playing Tuesday will be Gerald Haymon/Tony Campbell. <B>Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts</B> in the newly restored Lincoln Hall above the library on Main Street in Foxburg, will host Gypsy Dave and the Stumpjacks playing a combination of folk and bluegrass music at 8 p.m. Saturday at the air-conditioned Lincoln Hall. Tickets are $15 and are available at the Foxburg Winery, 724-659-0021.
