Fourth of July events for local municipalities, all of which take place on Friday, July 4, unless otherwise stated, include:

• Freedom Celebration in Butler Memorial Park, with family oriented activities such as children's games, entertainment and food, starts with a 9 a.m. frog jumping contest. Music is planned.

Fireworks by Zambelli will be at dusk at the Butler Athletic field near Connoquenessing Creek.

• Cranberry Township will not have fireworks on the Fourth of July but instead will have them at 9:30 p.m. July 12 as part of the newly reformatted Community Days.

A Red, White and Blue Bash is planned for 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. tonight at the North Boundary Waterpark. Admission is $3.

Events on the Fourth of July will include baseball championships and a 5k race.

• The 11th annual Fourth of July Celebration begins at 8 p.m. at Grove City College's Robert Thorn Football Field.

• An Allegheny Brass Band concert will be at 8 p.m. tonight on the Harmony Inn lawn, as part of the regular Thursday offering of Harmony Concerts on the Lawn. Zambelli fireworks will follow at 10 p.m.

• Harrisville Community Park events will begin at 10 a.m. and include a volleyball tournament, parade, music and fireworks.

• A parade down Beaver Street in Mars will begin at 6 p.m. The decorated bicycle parade begins at 5 p.m.

Fireworks will start at 10 p.m.

• The Zelienople community parade will start at 11 a.m. and will march onto Grandview Avenue up Main Street to Beaver Street and Beaver Street to Division Street.

At the borough's community park, food, games and entertainment will be available throughout the day. The Pittsburgh Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at 8:15 p.m. followed by fireworks at 10 p.m.

• In Franklin, a Silver Cornet Band concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Bandstand Park. Thunder over Franklin fireworks will begin at dusk Friday at Riverfront Park. And on Monday in Bandstand Park, the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors will play at 7 p.m.
