Voorhees, Rankin
Sarah Voorhees of Grove City and Jason Rankin of Karns City were united in marriage May 31 at the Harbison Chapel in Grove City. The Rev. Dennis Inserra officiated. A reception followed at the Grand Ballroom in Butler.
The bride is the daughter of Hank and Susan Voorhees of Grove City. Parents of the bridegroom are Gary and Tracy Rankin of Karns City.
The honor attendant was Hannah Voorhees of Grove City. Bridesmaids included Kylee Rankin of Karns City, Tera Callihan of Chicora, Emily Marin of Grove City and Miranda Moore of Grove City. Flower girl was Zoie Hamilton of Grove City.
Performing the duties of best man was Shane Robinson of East Brady. Ushers included Nick Voorhees of Grove City, Joshua Smith of Chicora, Daniel Helch and Aaron Markle of Karns City. Ring bearers were Dawson Kerr of Grove City and Ethan McElroy of Karns City.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Grove City High School and a 2008 graduate of Grove City College. She works for Wendell August in Grove City.
The bridegroom graduated from Karns City High School in 2003. He is employed by Rosebud Mining in Kittanning.
The couple is making their home in Chicora.
