BUFFALO TWP— All 180 laps of the rain-postponed final night of the Firecracker 100 were rescheduled for July 29 at Lernerville Speedway.

Rain checks and pit bands will be honored that night. The program will include a 10-lap C-Main, two 20-lap B-Mains, the $3,000-to-win Uncle Sam 30 for nonqualifiers and the $40,000-to-win Firecracker 100.

Matt Clement, who is still trying to work his way back to the major leagues on a rehab assignment at Class AAA Memphis, has pitched three scoreless innings in three appearances over the past week.The Butler native is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and has allowed one hit while striking out three and walking one for the Redbirds, the top affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.He picked up his win at Nashville June 24, then followed up with one-inning appearances against New Orleans Friday, then against Nashville Monday.

DALLAS — The Pittsburgh 3-Rivers Volleyball Club 18-North team, featuring players from Butler and Seneca Valley, placed fifth in the 48-team American Division at the recent USAJunior Olympic Girls Volleyball Championships.Stephanie Mock and Rebecca Smith of Butler and Lauren Balmert, Justine Carrow, Meghan Franz and Margaret Gillooly from Seneca Valley are team members.Coaches are Butler County Community College athletic director and Seneca Valley volleyball assistant Rob Snyder and Louise Schultz of Slippery Rock University.

Logan Maxwell, Adam Schaffner, Jake Lenhart and T.J. Rice all homered in Butler Township's 11-0 shutout win over East Butler in a District 25 Little League All-Star game Monday night.Chris Gamble added a double and a triple in the win, Ryan Denny had two doubles and Mark Gross and Jake Campbell both singled.Maxwell picked up the win on the mound, giving up two hits and striking out eight.
