Shirley Pinkerton
Shirley Pinkerton, 78, of Mars died Thursday afternoon at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Pittsburgh, Aug. 28, 1929, she was the daughter of Clarence and Esther Moreland Fischer.
She was a member of the Mars United Methodist Church and the Mars Women's Club.
Surviving are a daughter and two sons, Amy L. Pinkerton, Wendell D. Pinkerton, and his wife, Jana, and Todd A. Pinkerton, all of Mars; her grandchildren, Leslie, Amanda, Rachel and Joshua Pinkerton; a brother, Richard Fischer and his wife, Joy, of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Lois McCandless of Mars; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Duane Pinkerton, who died July 11, 2005.

Friends are invited to a memorial service at 10 a.m. June 21 at the Mars United Methodist Church, 525 Pittsburgh St., Mars, where the family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.Memorials may be made to the Mars United Methodist Church, P.O.
