Catherine and Andrew Kovach

Andrew "Andy" and Catherine "Sissy" Kovach celebrated 55 years of marriage with a surprise family dinner at their daughter's home.

Kovach married the former Catherine Mansfield on June 3, 1953, in Kentucky.

They have three daughters, Linda Kovach of Slippery Rock, Diane Thompson of Butler and Jamie Atwood of Slippery Rock.

They also have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Kovach is retired from the Asbestos Workers Union Local 4. He is active in the West Sunbury American Legion.

Mrs. Kovach is retired from Zayre Department store. She enjoys crafting and playing bingo. They both enjoy traveling with their family.

The couple are members of St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in West Sunbury.
