Alfred A. Gschnell Sr.

Alfred A. Gschnell Sr., 89, of Butler died Wednesday at his home.

Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 7, 1918, he was the son of Siegfried and Anna Lerch Gschnell.

He retired as a route salesman for the Canteen Vending Machine Co. of Pittsburgh, where he worked for 43 years.

Mr. Gschnell was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and Local 249 of the Teamsters Union.

Surviving are his wife, Muriel Miller Gschnell, to whom he was married for 66 years; two sons, Alfred A. Gschnell Jr. of Godley, Texas, and John D. Gschnell of Canal Fulton, Ohio; a daughter, Judy Gschnell of Butler; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Bell, who died Oct. 2, 2000; and a sister.

<B>Gschnell </B>— Funeral services for Alfred A. Gschnell Sr., who died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, were held Saturday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>. Burial was at the St. Michael Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the V.N.A. Hospice.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
