Diane Marie Schulties

Diane Marie Putt Schulties, 58, of Harrisville, formerly of Pittsburgh, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, went to be with the Lord on Friday, peacefully at home with her loving family at her side.

She was born April 16, 1950, in Indiana, Pa., and was the daughter of Leroy and Donna Putt of Clymer, and the devoted wife to John Schulties, who she married on July 27, 1971.

Prior to her high school graduation, she attended Purchase Line Area Schools. She was a 1968 graduate of Indiana High School in Indiana. She was formerly employed by Pines Plaza Bowling Lanes of Pittsburgh and as a bus driver for Laidlaw Bus Lines of Pittsburgh.

Diane had a zest for life and spent every minute helping others. Diana was a member of the Barkeyville United Methodist Church and was involved in their activities, especially the new building. She also taught the adult Sunday School class. Her greatest joy in life was to spend time with her grandchildren and family whom she loved with all of her heart. In her younger days, Diane was an avid bowler, card club member and enjoyed going to Las Vegas with her special friends.

Diane was a loving and dedicated mother to her children, Dawn Marie and her husband, Marc Mushnok, James David Schulties and his wife, Amy, John Schulties and his wife, Kerri; eight grandchildren, Robert and Ashley Schulties, Amanda, Brett and Madison Mushnok, and Samantha, Alyssa and Sierra Schulties. She also was loved and will be missed by her eight nieces and 14 nephews.

She is survived by and will be sorely missed by her brothers and sisters: John and his wife, Wannetta, Putt of Commodore, William Putt and his special friend, Penelope, of Indiana, David and his wife, Linda, Putt of Commodore, Karen and her husband, Max, Falisec of Clymer, Jean Fuehrer and her husband, Mark McCarroll, of Clymer, Carol Putt-Ayers and her husband, Rick Ayers of Starford, Mary and her husband, Gary Small of Clymer, Leroy and his wife, Marcie, Putt of Indiana; brother-in-law, Jim Schulties and his special friend, Sandy Heasley, of Harrisville; and these extended family members, Thomas Fuehrer and his wife, Kim, of Clymer, and Rick Caldwell and his wife, Nancy, of Commodore.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Mary Cramer, and Jesse and Elvie Putt.

<B>SCHULTIES —</B> Friends of Diane Marie Putt Schulties, who died Friday, May 9, 2008, will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>JAMISON FUNERAL HOME,</B> 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Visitation will also be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Barkeyville United Methodist Church in Barkeyville. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Stephanie Thompson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Barkeyville Cemetery.
