Delores 'Suzie' Heslop

Delores M. "Suzie" Heslop, 73, of Harborcreek Township, Erie County, fell peacefully asleep Thursday at the St. Vincent Health Center following an extended illness.

She was born June 14, 1934, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of Charles LeRoy and Arabell Enterline Alcorn.

A resident of Harborcreek since 1964, Delores had been employed with Penn State Behrend for 20 years in food and housing.

She was a member of the Praise Cathedral Church of God, where she was active with the Joy Group.

Delores enjoyed gardening, reading and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many sporting events. Delores was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Forsythe (Roger) of North East; two sons, Randy Heslop and his companion, Mary Lou, of Findley Lake, N.Y., and Kevin Heslop (Marie) of Harborcreek Township; four sisters; four brothers; eight grandchildren, Sharon, Jason, Joseph, Kirk, Allen, Michael, Angela and Matthew; two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Alexa; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles O. Heslop Jr.; a sister; and three brothers.

<B>Heslop </B>— Friends Delores M. "Suzie" Heslop, who died Thursday, May 8, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Dusckas Funeral Home East</B>, 2607 Buffalo Road, Erie. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Grove, pastor of Praise Cathedral, officiating.
