Arthur A. 'Bill' Clouse

Arthur A. "Bill" Clouse, 88 of Chicora died at 10 a.m. Friday at Sunnyview Home after an extended illness.

He was born in Oakland Township on Jan. 17, 1920, a son of Vincent and Philamenia Waltman Clouse.

Mr. Clouse was a 1938 graduate of Butler High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in World War II.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland, where he served as an usher for years. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society of the church and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 962 of Chicora.

Mr. Clouse was retired from the Walsh Equipment Co. in Butler, where he worked for 42 years as a heavy equipment salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Osterling Clouse, who he married Sept. 1, 1945; three sons, Donald (Mary) Clouse and Richard (Rosie) Clouse Sr., both of Butler, and Thomas (Jyll) Clouse of Chicora; daughters, Debbie and her husband, Russell, Baptiste of Kittanning, and Patty and her husband, Timothy, Andressi of Butler; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Bruner of Butler and Marie and her husband, Louis, Bauldoff of Fenelton; two brothers, Steve Clouse of Chicora and John Clouse of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by a brother, Albert F. "Jake" Clouse, and a sister, Margaret Young.

<B>CLOUSE — </B>Friends of Arthur A. "Bill" Clouse, who died Friday, May 9, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME,</B> 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland, with the Rev. David DeWitt, pastor, officiating, concelebrated by the Rev. DePaul Ripko and the Rev. William Rizert. Burial will be in the St. Joseph cemetery in North Oakland.Military honors will be provided by the Chicora V.F.W., the Chicora American Legion and the 99th Regional Readiness Command of Coraopolis.The Chicora Moose Lodge will hold memorial services at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
