A Futuristic Art Exhibit will open June 13 at the The Art Center, which is run through the Associated Artists of Butler County at 344 S. Main St.

This themed show will show artwork representing the future — 10, 100, 1,000 or even a million years from now — of our town, world, universe, fashion, technology, environment, music, film, aliens, spaceships or galaxies.

Judge's prizes and awards will be presented June 13. The exhibit will continue through July 11.

In the Members Gallery will be "Festivals" by Douglass Wynn, and in the Mezzanine Gallery, work by Kyle Nevel.

Regular gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon to 9 p.m. Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

HARMONY — The Harmony Museum's annual Herb & Garden Fair, offering an opportunity to exchange and purchase plants, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 14 at the museum's historic barn annex on Mercer Road, just north of the Connoquenessing Creek. Admission is free.Gardeners may trade potted plants as specialty vendors offer roses and other ornamentals, herbs and garden art. The Butler County American Legion Riders will hold its annual Bikers for Vets motorcycle ride on July 19. The rain date will be July 20.Riders can register at the front entrance of the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 325 New Castle Road, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. that day. Riders will leave promptly at 11:15 a.m.Each participant will receive directions for the ride that will be about 100 miles with check points. The ride will end at the Lyndora American Legion Picnic Grove. There will be lots of prizes, Chinese auction, games, food and music. The Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club will conduct walks in June.Walks generally start on time, so plan to arrive a bit early. Take water and food, since the walks often last several hours.
