HERMITAGE — Ed Vietmeier of Shenango Lake Golf Club recorded an eagle on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to edge Butler Country Club's Rob McClellan at the Tam O'Shanter Open Monday.

The duo each fired a 69 before Vietmeier pulled out the win. Joe Boros of Treesdale Golf and Country Club tied for eighth place (72) with 11 other players, including amateur Jon Pratkanis, who played at Butler High.

John Aubrey Sr. of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred tied for 20th (73) while Travis Dickson of Treesdale and amateur Rob Voltz tied for 26th (74).

Also, Aubrey tied for third place in the senior event and Pratkanis tied for first with two others in the amateur event. Voltz was fifth.
