MIAMI — The "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" will return to CBS this fall.
According to CBS, this year's show will take place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, as part of the legendary resort's grand reopening.
As usual, the show will feature Heidi Klum, along with Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller and Miranda Kerr, plus a bevy of slightly less famous scantily clad beauties.
The "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" has always been a reliable lightning rod for FCC complaints due to its assortment of barely dressed models. ABC aired the show its first year and it subsequently moved to CBS. Neither network ever received an FCC fine for the show.
The ratings for the program have declined every year since its inception. ABC's 2001 telecast drew 12.3 million viewers, while 10.5 million and 9.4 million watched on 2002 and 2003 on CBS. Following that 2004 hiatus, CBS brought the show back in the winter of 2005 and drew only 8.9 million viewers.
LOS ANGELES — NBC will usher in the 2008-09 season with a big, splashy return for "Heroes," which will end a 9½ month absence from the air in September. The network is turning over its entire prime-time slate on Sept. 22 to the show, starting with an hourlong clip show to refresh viewers' memories on what's happened so far and leading into a two-hour season premiere. It leads a fairly traditional rollout for NBC, which will debut most of its shows between then and early October. The rollout of the network's three dramas will be staggered a little. The updated "Knight Rider" will debut Sept. 24, while "My Own Worst Enemy" will follow "Heroes" on Sept. 29. "Crusoe," a retelling of Daniel Defoe's classic novel "Robinson Crusoe," has its two-hour premiere on Oct. 17.
