Betty Lou Hovis
Betty Lou Hovis, 75, of Harmony died Friday at her home.
Born Jan. 14, 1933, in Little Birch, W.Va., she was the daughter of James E. and Carrie Jenkins Barnett.
Mrs. Hovis was a member of the Zelienople Church of the Nazarene.
She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening, canning and quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Andrew Hovis, whom she married Dec. 24, 1952; three sons, Clifford E. Hovis and his wife, Lisa, of Twin Lake, Mich., Duane A. Hovis and his wife, Jeane, of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Daniel L. Hovis of Renfrew; a daughter, Anita L. Boutwell and her husband, James, of Ocean Springs; a brother, Oley H. Barnett of Biloxi, Miss.; a sister, Nettie Groves of Sutton, W.Va., and six grandchildren, Samantha and William Hovis, Travis, Benjamin and Aubrey Redmon and Nathaniel Hovis.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Grover Barnett; and two sisters, Maddie Barnett and Macel Crites.
<B>HOVIS</B> — Friends of Betty Lou Hovis, who died Friday, April 25, 2008, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
